Brig. Gen. Adetunji Olurin (rtd), a former military administrator in Oyo State, and a close friend to former president, Olusegun Obasanjo has been declared dead, after a brief illness.
This was disclosed by his brother, Funsho Olurin, who made it known that the deceased died at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital at 77.
Olurin was born in the 3rd of December, 1944, and he was a Nigerian one-star general in the national army, who served as the military Governor of Oyo State and Field Commander of ECOMOG Peacekeeping Force in Liberia from 1992 to 1993 during the First Liberian Civil War.
Reports disclosed that, Olurin retired from service in 1993 and he is a member of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Nigeria. He was also an administrator of Ekiti State from 8th October, 2006 to 27th April, 2007.
