Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is making an attempt to bring Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo back to England, according to Tribal Football.
The former Manchester United attacker is in the final year of his current contract at Juve and has been offered to several clubs across Europe by his agent Jorge Mendes.
Italy’s Radio 24 reports Levy has made contact with Mendes to open talks about signing the Portugal international. Juve would be prepared to grant Ronaldo a free transfer if he can find himself a new club.
Ronaldo started Sunday’s 2-2 draw at Udinese on the bench.
The sticking point for Levy is that Ronaldo is reluctant to leave Juve for a club not playing in this season’s Champions League.
