National President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, Professor Emmanuel Osodeke, has told journalists in Abuja that the leadership of the union would soon meet to deliberate on the order of the National Industrial Court that ASUU goes back to work.
However, the counsel to the union, Femi Falana, has said that ASUU would appeal the ruling of the National Industrial Court, which ordered the lecturers to call off their ongoing strike.
Speaking with newsmen on Wednesday, the renowned Human Rights lawyer added that he was preparing the grounds of appeal as Justice Polycarp Hamman, who delivered the ruling, ordered that the case file should be returned to the president of the Industrial Court for reassignment to another judge, as he is a vacation judge.
