Following the popular cheap sales that normally take place on Fridays which brought about the term “Black Friday Sales“, a board in Kano state has said that they should stop referring to Fridays as “black” because it’s a holy day for Muslims. In a letter written to the Manager of Cool FM, the board said that the Black Friday Sales programs should be cancelled.
Social media users have however reacted to the board, over the extent of ignorance on what “Black Friday Sales” meant. Others also lamented over the wrong spellings and words in the letter written by the board.
