There was tension yesterday in Orlu, Imo state yesterday as the Soldiers clashed with the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Eastern security Network (ESN) in a shoot out.
It is reported that the army had previously gone in search of the ESN hideout on Saturday, January 16 in bushes, still in Orlu, but faced serious opposition which made them flee leaving their vehicles behind.
Yesterday it was also reported that the army came with 6 Hilux van and was arresting, torturing and forcing people to close their business.
The Supreme leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu had yesterday warned the state’s government to withdraw the troops or face attack.
Reports show that the activity of the military ensued for some time until the ESN came with Siena to stop the soldiers from Arresting Orlu youths.
Both Parties, however, engaged in a serious gunfire, after which the soldiers were reported to have retreated to the Obinze barracks.
