Nigerian Artiste Seyi Shay has been criticised for being too harsh on a 17-year-old boy in the Nigerian Idol audition, after she told the boy that he won’t make it as a singer.
Seyi Shay who was a judge in the event told the 17-year-old boy who contested that,
“You are never going to make money being a singer”.
This has sparked up heated argument on Social Media as many users made it known that if at all the boy’s voice was poor, she should have praised him first, and then tell him ways he can improve himself, and not outrightly condemning him.
Frank Edoho also criticised Seyi Shay for using uncensored word to address the boy making it known that the judges of the Nigeria Music Idol competition should be checked.
Some revealed that she should make sure her own career is worth it before condemning the little boy.
