Following Ugandan election, Bobi Wine who was the opposition candidate has made it known that he and his family had been under house arrest after the election.
He said they’re not allowed to move out as his house was still surrounded by the military officers. He said, they’re short on food and there’s no way they can go out to restock.
However, the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP), has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to publicly condemn the unlawful detention of Bobi Wine and his wife by Yoweri Museveni.
The body also asked the president to call for their immediate release. They said Nigeria should urgently push for an extraordinary session of the African Union (AU) to sanction Uganda.
