Following cases of insecurity across the country, a member of the House of Representatives, Dachung Bagos (PDP-Plateau), has reportedly advised the Federal Government to develop a practical and lasting solution to ending the lingering insecurity challenges facing the country.
Bagos, who is representing Jos South and Jos East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, stated this in an interview on Wednesday.
According to him, “It is no longer news that the rate of insecurity in our nation is alarming; kidnapping, banditry, armed robbery, and all of that are on the rise.”
He stated that, “Government must take more proactive steps, practical solutions in securing the lives and property of its citizens.”
He advised that, “Our security agencies must adopt new and better strategies, including using modern technologies to bring these security challenges to an end.”
He also maintained that, “Despite the current challenges, I wish to urge our people to stay put, be peaceful and prayerful at all times. On our part, we will do as much as possible to support the people in order to cushion their current hardship.”
