Following the commemoration of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women yesterday 25th November, President Muhammadu Buhari has said that his administration is conducting a review of all the existing laws and policies about the women folks.
He said that the Ministry of Women Affairs and the United Nations Development Program are developing a national tool for the management of gender-based violence in Nigeria. He said the tool was established to take a record of the gender-based violence that happened during the Covid-19 period and beyond. It was also established to document violence against women and girls.
He said all this measures were put in place the protect the fundamental rights of the women folk.
