President Muhammadu Buhari met with the 36 States governors across the federation yesterday 8th December, in a closed-door meeting on security issues in the country.
At the meeting, President Buhari made it known that the Federal Government is investing heavily in weapons and equipment for the military. He said that the military has received armoured cars and other equipment, and aircraft. He gave an assurance that more will be provided to support them in fighting criminals, as it is necessary to secure Nigeria.
He as well admonished everyone on their role in tackling insurgency. According to him, governors, traditional leaders, community leaders and the citizens must work together to boost intelligence-gathering.
