Arsenal and Manchester United played out a goalless draw at the Emirates Stadium.
Both teams had chances to win the game but their profligacy in front of goal cost them.
Alexander Lacazette’s free kick hit the bar while David De Gea saved well from Emile Smith Rowe and Nicolas Pepe.
Manchester United have now failed to win three of their last four Premier League games.
Mikel Arteta described the draw as a fair result despite missing three of his key players.
“Three of our best players were out and that probably has an impact but I’m really happy with the players”.
“In the second half, we were so dominant and created some good chances to win it”. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has urged Manchester United strikers to take their chances.
“You look at the games we played against Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Liverpool – we defended well and didn’t really concede too many chances”.
“That is a foundation to play from. We need to take our chances – we know we have the players to do that, but we haven’t done it lately”.
“I felt we controlled and played well in the first half. We created two massive chances and did some good play.”
Arsenal remain unbeaten in each of their last six league games against Manchester United, since losing home and away in 2017-18.
