Premier League: Manchester United Pip Burnley, Iwobi On Target For Everton

Manchester United recorded a 1-0 win over Burnley to top the Premier League table for the first time since December 2012.

Paul Pogba’s second half volley was enough to hand the Red Devils the maximum points.

Solskjaer has now guided the team to their ninth win in 11 Premier League games.

The Norwegian Manager expressed his excitement after helping the team to to the top of the log.

“I’m very pleased of course. Any time you get three points you are happy. We had to dig in and earn it and we did”.

“I’ve not seen the fouls but it must be right – the referee went over to look at it. The disallowed goal – that’s a mistake, we have to be honest’.

“The goal was top, great execution and style. Paul Pogba really played well tonight. It would have been easier for us, we should have got the second goal but we don’t do it the easy way”.

Everton earned a vital 2-1 win over Wolves to move into the top four courtesy of goals from Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi and Michael Keane.

Reuben Neves scored the only goal for Wolves.

Sheffield United defeated Newcastle 1-0 to earn their first win of the season after 18 games.

Billy Sharp scored the winner in the second half to ease the pressure on Chris Wilder.
Manchester United and Liverpool will slug it out at Anfield on Sunday in a top-of-the-table clash.
