Premier League: Man City Pip Brighton, Tottenham Held By Fulham

Manchester City extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to 14 matches with a slim victory over Brighton.

Phil Foden scored the only goal to hand the Citizens the maximum points.

Raheem Sterling missed a stoppage-time penalty, which he blazed over the bar. Manchester City’s fourth consecutive league win moved them up to third on the log.

Brighton have failed to win in their last nine league matches.

Fulham earned a precious 1-1 draw against Tottenham away from home to boost their relegation fight.

Harry Kane scored a thumping header to give the hosts the lead in the first half. Cavaleiro rescued Fulham from defeat when he rose highest to head Ademola Lookman’s cross into the net to settle the scores for his team.

Fulham are still rooted in the relegation zone but they are two points off the the drop zone.

Tottenham are in the sixth position six points off the top spot.
