“Nisi Domius Frustra”. Unless God is with us, all will be in vain.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has put his weight behind Timo Werner after his recent poor form for the club.
The former Leipzig striker joined Chelsea in the summer and he has scored eight goals, but he has been unable to find the net in his last eight games for the club in all competitions.
“With Timo, any goalscorer wants to score regularly but must have the mental toughness and confidence to go through periods. That is every striker. It is no problem. He needs to keep getting in those areas and the goals will come, no doubt.”
Chelsea and Werner will hope for a better luck in Monday night Premier League clash against West Ham at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues have lost their last two Premier League matches against Everton and Wolves.
