Jim Lawson Maduike, Popular veteran Nollywood actor is dead. He was said to have died on Saturday after some complaint of pains all over his body.
Maduike, born and bred in Imo State in the southeastern part of Nigeria, joined the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood) in 2004 and has played roles in more than 140 Nollywood movies. Some movies which he has featured include Heartbeats, Royal Madness, Tomorrow Must Wait, The Masters and many more.
He was very famous in the Nollywood industry. Asides being an actor he was also a radio broadcaster, writer, voice-over artist and filmmaker. He worked with the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), MINAJ FM and Ray Power FM from the early 1980s before joining the Nollywood industry in 2004.
Jim Lawson Maduike, as an actor has been nominated for few awards which include Best Actor in a Supporting Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards, Best Actor in a Leading Role at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award and Most Prominent Actor in Nigeria at the Best of Nollywood Awards.
