Following the abduction of three farm workers from two separate farms, the Kwara State Police Command led by its Police Commissioner, Mohammed Lawal Bagega have begun a man-hunt for the kidnappers and the rescue of the victims.
SP Okasanmi Ajayi, spokesman of the command confirmed the abduction to newsmen on Wednesday.
Based on reports by the Daily Post, two of the three abducted victims comprised of two women and a man were abducted by six heavily armed suspected kidnappers on Monday at a poultry farm at Pampo Community.
The kidnappers who were dressed in army uniforms then proceeded to the second farm, Mirola farms where the third victim was abducted and carried away in a Hilux bus.
The report stated that a ransom of ₦45 million was requested for the exchange of the victims by the kidnappers.
Speaking to news men, the owner of the second farm gave his account of the incident.
“On Monday, at 4.30pm, six suspected kidnappers in military uniform, heavily armed with AK-47 rifles abducted three farm managers in our farms.
The Police reassured the families of the victims of the safe return of their loved ones and that the suspects would be arrested soon.
