We are crushed and devastated that it took uncountable deaths of youths to awaken the lions of Africa. Since independence Nigerians have endured innumerable abuse, maltreatment, harassment, and unjustified killings but enough is enough.
Thousands of Nigerians have signed a petition to ban top public officers, policemen, and other law enforcement agencies from the US. The street is scattered with youths and seniors citizens protesting to end SARS and save Nigerian youths.
While Nigerians are peacefully protesting, Police still continue to arrest innocent youths. 15 youths were arrested in Ogun state on Saturday by SAR men during a peaceful protest and has been denied bail.
Information reaching us indicates they will be indicted on Monday for murder. Those arrested are Omogbolahan Oladayo, Adelaja Emmanuel, Olatoye Olalekan, Olayinka Dayo, Aikomo Oluwatobi, Damilola Odolowu, Oladepo Olateju, Akinbayo Damilola, Adeniyi Marcus, Akinola Ibrahim, Adele Sodiq, and Ifedayo Orimolade.
The governor of Ogun State called the peaceful protest violent and promised participants retaliation. Immediately after his twit, a story of deputy governor’s attack by protesters was manufactured to persecute protesters.
Our prayers go to those peacefully protesting.
