Former Governor of Imo State and Senator representing the Imo West Senatorial District, Rochas Okorocha, has reportedly stated that he would establish a school in the border town of Ogun State for the underprivileged.
According to reports, Okorocha made this known shortly after he was offered the chieftaincy title of Otunba Asoludero of Iselu Kingdom by the Eselu of Iseluland, Oba Akintunde Akinyemi, in the Yewa-North Local Government Area of the state.
Okorocha, who reportedly accepted the chieftaincy title, stated that, “I am happy and grateful for this honour. I will ensure that I do something through my foundation.”
He added that, “Kabiyesi wants me to establish a school and launch my foundation in the kingdom; that I will do.”
Oba Akinyemi on his own part has stated that the formal ceremony for the conferment of the chieftaincy title would soon hold.
The monarch said that, “We hold Senator Rochas Okorocha in high esteem for what he recorded in Imo State as a former governor. His Rochas Okorocha Foundation has offered no fewer than 25,000 underprivileged and orphans free scholarship from primary school to university education.”
