Following the crisis in the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW and its Lagos State branch, it has been reported that the Lagos State chairman of the NURTW, Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya, fondly called MC Oluomo, has been sacked.
This was reportedly disclosed by the National Administrative Council of the union in a statement signed by its national president, Alhaji Tajudeen Baruwa, and general secretary, Alhaji Kabiru Ado Ya’u.
The statement read that, “MC Oluomo has been sacked as Lagos chairman. We had a meeting last night. We have replaced him.”
The union reportedly disclosed that the decision was based on the provisions of the union’s constitution, adding that the union’s secretary in Lagos State, Seyi Bankole, has been announced as the new head of NURTW in Lagos.
