Minister of Women Affairs Pays Condolence To NAF

The Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline payed her last respects to the fallen officers that lost their lives in the plane crash on Sunday during a visit to the Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Vice Marshal, Oladayo Amao.

She stated that the loss was a great one not only to the NAF but also to the nation during her visit to the NAF Headquarters Abuja accompanied by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Ambassador Dr (Mrs) Anthonia Ekpa.

The Minister said she was there on behalf of the Nigerian women and children and prayed for the welfare of the NAF, its personnel and the members of the grieving families.

Air Vice Marshal, Oladayo extended his thanks to the Minister for her condolence visit to the NAF Headquarters.

He disclosed that the deceased officers who had been on a surveillance mission in Niger State for a few days, had stopped at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja for a refuel before returning to Niger State during which the accident had occurred.

Oladayo shared the view of Minister Dame in that the loss of the officers had been a great one to the nation and replacing them would be difficult due to the skills they had acquired over their years in service.

He however, stated that the Service was nevertheless consoled by the fact that they had given their utmost in service to the Nation.
