Midwives Tasked to Ensure Hard Work in Communities

Participants at the just concluded two-week orientation course for Basic and Community Midwives organized by the Bauchi State Government have pledged to serve the communities they were posted for the one-year mandatory service.

They made the pledge after receiving delivery kits at the end of the orientation course in Bauchi.

Some of the midwives who spoke to Radio Nigeria Amina Mubarak Ahmad and Docas Nehimia expressed determination to offer their best to the communities they were posted with a view to reducing maternal and infant mortality bedevilling the state.

They acknowledged the positive impact derived from the orientation course and promised to justify the confidence reposed on them.

Another Basic Midwives Raihanatu Abba Muhammad appreciated the state government for organizing training as well as providing them with all the necessary logistics especially the delivery kits.

Earlier, the Executive Chairman of the State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr. Rilwanu Mohammed called on the newly posted midwives to work hard and ensure the vigilance of their surroundings as well as good conduct while discharging their assignment.
