Kwara State Government had announced that institutions in the states would resume on the 11th of January 2021, while basic schools would resume on the 18th of January 2021.
In a statement released by the State Government on Friday, resumption would be under strict adherence to Covid-19 protocols. According to the statement, “Government has directed that the Tertiary institutions should put in place appropriate safety protocols to prevent the spread of the virus on their campuses…”.
The statement also read that, “Specifically, the use of facemask is mandatory on the campus and in lecture rooms. Authorities are not to allow anyone, students or otherwise, into college facilities without the use of the facemask”.
The statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Rufus Ajakaye also said that elementary schools in the state are scheduled to resume on the 18th of January 2021 subject to new development on the pandemic.
