Following the abduction of Kagara students, Niger State Governor, Abubakar Bello, has made it known that the Federal Government has left the state alone on its own without support.
According to reports, the Governor said the Federal Government actually sent a delegation to the state and had deployed about 300 riot policemen to the state, but the state has been left alone to take up the financial responsibilities.
In his words, he said “So, where is the support? At the moment, we have not seen any federal support here since this incident occurred. Yes, we had a delegation that came to commiserate with, but we are left to ourselves”.
The Governor has however, revealed that with or without the Federal Government’s support, his Government was going to rescue the abducted victims.
According to him, “We will use whatever means and resources available to make sure that the children return home safely. We don’t have the exact day and when these children will be released, but I am very sure it will be very soon”.
