The United States Electoral College has officially announced Joe Biden, as the winner of the United States Presidential Election 2020. This is coming after Donald Trump declined to accept defeat following the results of the election.
Following this development, Joe Biden has made it known that in America, politicians don’t take power, the people grant it to them. He also said that the flame of democracy was lit in America a long time ago and that not even the pandemic or abuse of power can quench the flame of democracy in the United States.
This had been seen as a form of attack against the sitting president Donald Trump, who had earlier said that a lot of election malpractices took place in favour of Joe Biden.
