Is it a panic buy or excellent transfers?

The impact of Covid-19 on sports.

During this pandemic that has plunged the way, football is being played nowadays with deserted stadiums and rules from local football associations and governing bodies such as FIFA and UEFA. Here comes the transfer deadline of clubs from EPL, La Liga Santander, Bundesliga, Serie A to Ligue 1. Most notable transfers are from top clubs that have been grappling to spice up their squads.

Chelsea is one of the clubs that have done a flood of transfers with Timo Warner, one of the hottest in the market. While Manchester United went for an aging Edinson Cavani on a free transfer from PSG. Arsenal has been in a jolting ride to land one of the best midfielders in the market Tomas Partey, the Ghana international has been a sensation to his former club Atletico Madrid and now a much-needed player for Arsenal. Liverpool was not left out as they added Thiago Alcantara to the squad, the champions league winner was one of the team members that have dominated the German league for years.

Juventus have also added the American perception Weston Mckennie on loan to strengthen their midfield. A player coming from Barcelona Arthur Melo seems another wonderful player to watch out.

All the above being said, the season is just starting, and we can see underdog teams performing beyond expectations. Can we expect a Leicester city style of winning the premier league title by Everton? These middle range table teams are performing exceptionally.

In my opinion, some good teams have done a wonderful transfer while some big teams have made a last-minute panic buys which could cost them profoundly in the season-long run. We have begun to see clubs that made1 or 2 important changes making an impact, teams like Tottenham and Everton. During this international break, teams will have to re-adjust to find their form or they will further underperform.
