Following the IPOB sit-at-home order that has been happening in the South East every Monday, it has been reported that the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali, has charged the state Police Command to go tough on criminals, describing the Indigenous People of Biafra as a criminal group.
According to reports, Alkali, gave this order while on a familiarisation visit to the Delta State Police Command on Monday.
According to him, “Anything that happens in Anambra State will affect Delta State, especially Asaba. That is why you must prepare to deal with any criminal, especially IPOB group.”
He stated that, “There are spillover agitations or demonstrations from Onitsha to Asaba. Brace up to IPOB challenge because it is a proscribed organisation and treat them as such. It is unfortunate that EndSARS started from Delta State.”
This is coming after the South Eastern States have observed the sit-at-home order in Monday, for the second week, due to the arrest if IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu.
Some states involved included Imo, Anambra, Enugu and Ebonyi states. Activities in these States have been grounded on Monday, with operators staying at home.
