Insurgency: Army Kill Five Bokoharam Terrorists in Borno State, Recover Arms

Troops of 402 Special Forces Task Brigade of Operation Tura Takaibango (OTTB) have launched an attack and killed five Boko Haram terrorists in the Abbagajiri and Dusula hideouts of Damboa LGA of Borno State.

Brig.-Gen. Bernard Onyeukou, the Acting Director, Defence Media Operations, while speaking in a media briefing, explained that on January 20, the troops identified and surrounded some terrorists at Abbagajiri and Dusula hideouts before engaging them with superior firepower.

He added that arms and pieces of equipment which were recovered include: A Pulemyot Kalashnikova Tankovyy (PKT) gun, three AK-47 rifles, four extra AK-47 rifle magazines and a Vulcanizing Machine.

He further stated that the encounter with the terrorists, led by the Commander of 402 Special Forces Task Force Brigade led to the killing of five terrorists, with others sustaining injuries.

Onyeuko however urged the troops not to relent on the fight against Insurgency, but strive to flush out remnants of terrorists from the Northeast.
