Insecurity: South East Set Up Joint Security Called ‘EBUBEAGU’

The South East Governors and stakeholders have reportedly held a security meeting in Imo State and launched its own joint security outfit called EBUBEAGU.

This is coming following the attack on the Imo State correctional centre, which led to the escape of 1,884 inmates, and vandalisation of vehicles and properties.

According to reports, Anambra, Abia, Ebonyi, Imo and Enugu states Governors were present at the meeting which also had in attendance Navy and Air Force Commanders, the Inspector-General of Police, Ohanaeze Ndigbo and other stakeholders.

However, the Imo State Government has revealed on its Twitter page that, “South-East Governors set up the South-East joint security outfit code named EBUBEAGU”.
