Human traffickers met their waterloo in Kastina.
Following the state of insecurity across the country, and measures put in place to tackle it, the Katsina State Police Command has arrested some suspected human traffickers who were attempting to smuggle some of their victims outside Nigeria.
According to reports, the police has also rescued about 29 people who were believed to be victims of human trafficking.
The Katsina State Police PRO Gambo Isah said that 22 females, five males and two children were among those rescued.
According to him, the victims were being transported from the southern part of Nigeria to Libya, Algeria, and Turkey respectively.
Reports had it that the suspected traffickers met their doom at Unguwar Jummai village in Mai’addua Local Government Area of Katsina State, a border town with the Niger Republic, where they were arrested.
