Following the fight against the killer, Fulani herdsman in the South Western region of Nigeria and Sunday Igboho’s outburst over the incidence, the governor of Oyo State Seyi Makinde has held a meeting with other South Western governors In Ondo State.
The kebbi and jigawa State Governors, security chiefs, and leaders from the Miyetti Allah cattle breeders association in Nigeria were also in attendance.
Makinde has revealed that the South-West Governors have collectively resolved to ban open grazing in South West. He made it known that a law had already been laid down against open grazing in Oyo State and that offenders would be handled by security agencies in the State.
He, however, warned that he would not permit criminality as a response to criminal behaviour. He promised his support to security agents in doing their job effectively.
