Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department released a statement on February 23, 2021 of a roll-over collision involving golf legend, Tiger Woods.
The LASD reported that they had responded to an accident at approximately 7:12 AM Pacific Standard Time (PST) on the border of Rolling Hills Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes which the sole occupant had been the sports star.
The Sheriff’s Department explained that he was traveling northbound on Hawthorne Boulevard at Blackhorse Road when the crash occurred.
The statement revealed that he has been extracted from the crash using the infamous “Jaws of Life” and taken to a local hospital by firefighters and paramedics on the scene.
The statement read “On February 23, 2021, at approximately 7:12 AM, LASD responded to a single vehicle roll-over traffic collision on the border of Rolling Hills Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes. The vehicle was traveling northbound on Hawthorne Boulevard, at Blackhorse Road, when it crashed. The vehicle sustained major damage.
“The driver and sole occupant was identified as PGA golfer, Eldrick “Tiger” Woods. Mr. Woods was extricated from the wreck with the “jaws of life” by Los Angeles County firefighters and paramedics, then transported to a local hospital by ambulance for his injuries.
“The traffic investigation is being conducted by investigators from LASD Lomita Station.”
Mark Steinberg, Tiger Woods agent disclosed that he had suffered multiple leg injuries and was currently undergoing surgery.
