Former Imo East Senator, Samuel Anyanwu has accused the ruling party, All Progressive Congress (APC) of causing regression in the Nigerian economy.
He accused the President, Muhammadu Buhari and APC of acquiring power from the former ruling party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as of the 2015 election without any real intentions or plans of bettering the Nigeria economy or developing the lives of it’s citizens.
Anyanwu stated that his claims could be justified through the recent kidnappings, insecurity crises and rise in prices of goods and services across the country.
The former lawmaker also added that much of the commonwealth of the nation was taken by the ruling party leaving citizens in a state of hardship and poverty.
“APC and her then-presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari had assured Nigerians of their commitment to raise their standard of living, construct good road network, offer quality education and improve on agriculture. Today, all their promises were mere deceit to hijack power. Today, Nigerians have been raped, shattered, dehumanized, and abandoned.
“Nothing in Nigeria is working again; not even human lives and properties are spared. It is annoying that a country that is blessed with vast natural resources is increasing the pump price of petrol at will. Nothing is stable, prices of goods rising up and never coming down.” Anyanwu stated.
