The Nigeria Meteorological Agency said that states in the North-Central and South-East zones in Nigeria should expect more flooding.
The Director-General of NiMet, Prof. Mansur Matazu, made this known while speaking with journalists at the opening ceremony of the Hydro-Meteorological status and outlook system (hydrosos) workshop in Abuja on Tuesday.
Speaking on the current impact of flooding in the country, Matazu said the flooding was the result of rainfall which might have reached its peak, adding that it could also be the result of opening of dams and other water-holding facilities.
