In a meeting with the 36 States governors across the federation yesterday, President Muhammadu Buhari has revealed reasons why the borders were closed.
According to him, the closure of Nigerian land border was partly an attempt, to control the smuggling in of weapons and drugs. He said that now that the smugglers are aware of the fact that Nigeria would not condone them, he’s looking forward to opening the borders as soon as possible.
He officially made this known through his twitter page yesterday evening.
