Following the extension of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, a one-month warning strike, by eight weeks, the Federal Government had made it known that they had met all the demands of the union.
This was reportedly disclosed by the Minister of State for Education, Mr. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba.
According to him, “ASUU announced and we met and everything that they have demanded, we have done all of them including the earned allowances and the revitalisation fund; they choose to extend it for two months may be.”
This is coming following a meeting by the National Executive Council members of the union on Sunday, in which after consultations, the members agreed to embark on a two-month strike, after the initial one month warning strike.
