Liverpool midfielder Fabinho has revealed his side are in no way under pressure to win against bitter rivals Man United.
The Anfield based side relinquished the hold on top of the log after the rivals at Old Trafford secured maximum points away to Burnley on Tuesday night and the hard-tackling Brazilian international has commended the Manchester side on their fine run of form this season but insists his side aren’t pressured to take all 3 points when United visit.
“However, our focus isn’t exclusively on Manchester United.”
Fabinho who has marshalled the Liverpool defence this season playing as a makeshift Centre half due to unavailability of usual pair Virgil Van Dijk and Joe Gomez and inconsistency in the fitness of Joel Mario further added;
“The main thing is trying to play our football and winning games”.
Playing against Manchester United is always a big opportunity, it´s a derby. I think the fans are excited to have the chance to watch two big games in a short period.
“We are keen to improve our results in the FA Cup in comparison to the previous seasons. So we must be fully focused, it’s the only way to beat such a strong rival.” The former Monaco man concluded
