Citizens of Uganda have cried out to the world for rescue following the extent of police brutality ahead of the 2021 election coming up in the country.
According to reports, the country’s election is supposed to take place next year, but the sitting president President Yoweri Museveni is using the military against those who have contrary political views from his own. He’s said to be waging war against citizens who support other political parties and other presidential candidates apart from himself.
Reports had it that during the nomination last week, other presidential candidates were maltreated.
One of the presidential candidates called Bobi Wine was said to have been arrested yesterday morning 18th November and his supporters had demanded his release. This sparked the protests which had led to the death of about 16 people and a lot injured today following the violent response from the military officers.
