President Muhammadu Buhari has made it known this evening that about 1,000,000 metres are up for distribution in parts of Kano, Kaduna, Lagos and Abuja at no cost.
He as well said the future Metering Initiative will meet 6.5 million deficit and impact about 30 million consumers. In Addition, he as said that the metres were gotten from local manufacturers in the country, in order to create employment.
He noted that the Federal Government is trying to put an end to estimated billing and that consumers would only have to pay for the electricity they consume.
