Following the hike in Covid-19 cases across the globe, The United States had recorded 277,000 Covid-19 infections in just one day which had been the highest ever since the pandemic began.
The United States which had been the most affected by the pandemic has recorded over 20.4 million cases and about 350,000 deaths.
Anthony Fauci who is a US scientist had earlier warned that there may be hike in the cases during the Christmas and holiday period.
However, about 4.2 million people have received the vaccine while about 13 million vaccines have been distributed.
