Following the urgent directive by the Federal Government to link up National Identification Number NIN with citizens SIM cards, citizens have gone out in Mass for the registration.
However, the National Identification Management Commission NIMC has shut down some enrollment centres for violating the Covid-19 protocols. According to the Commission, they’ll be adopting a “number issuing” style, that is a certain number of people will be attended to daily on a first-come, first-serve basis to keep the Covid-19 protocols.
This is to manage the crowd. The Commission, however, apologized for whatever inconvenience this might have caused the citizens, as they promised to devise a way for a better service.
