Schools in most parts of the country resumed back on Monday 18th Jan. 2021, despite the hike in Covid-19 cases across the country.
However, the Nasarawa State House of Assembly has proposed to sanction both public and private schools across the 13 local government areas and 18 development areas of the state that did not adhere strictly to all the laid down protocols on COVID-19 in preventing the spread of the infection.
Mr Daniel Ogazi, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Education, Science and Technology, warned the schools on Friday when he led other members of the committee on an unscheduled visit to some tertiary and secondary schools in the state to check out if everything had been put in place before resuming.
