Covid-19: Lagos State Government Stops Schools From Resuming

Following the hike in Covid-19 cases across the country, the Lagos State Government has announced that all schools beyond the tertiary level should remain closed. Schools which were earlier scheduled to resume today 4th February 2021 had been extended indefinitely.

This was made know in a statement signed by the Head of Public Affair, Lagos State Ministry of Education Mr. Kayode Abayomi. He said the directive is mandatory and that all schools should remain closed. He said the new date would be communicated in due course.

Mr. Abayomi also advised both parents and students to adhere strictly to Covid-19 protocols of washing of hands, using sanitizers , using a face mask, and maintaining social distancing which had been laid down by the government.
