Tolu Ogunlesi who is the Special Assistant on Digital and News Media to President Muhammadu Buhari has made it known that about 100 Nigerian Passports will be suspended for the next six months for shunning the Post Arrival Test on Covid-19 which was meant to take place on the 7th day of arrival after self-isolation.
According to him, the Presidential Task Force said about 100 affected people had been contacted and confirmed not to have done the Post Arrival Test on Covid-19. He made it known that Nigeria is not banning flights from UK and South-Africa for now, instead, there will be monitoring inbound direct flights from those two countries.
He further said that the Federal Government will penalize anyone who uploads fake Covid-19 test results on an airline portal. Anyone who doesn’t partake in the Post Arrival Test on Covid-19 would also have his or her passport seized for a minimum of 6 months.
