Following the fear of the second wave of Coronavirus and ways to curb it, the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 has laid down new measures to be followed strictly by citizens.
According to Bashir Ahmad, the personal assistant to President Buhari on News and Media, the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 has encouraged virtual meetings in government offices. The leaders in such offices are to ensure that all offices are well ventilated, and encourage staffs to work from home if possible.
Also, all government staff on grade level 12 and below are to work from home for the next 5 weeks. The Permanent Secretaries and Chief Executive Officers are to be held accountable for the office.
In addition, all schools are expected to have vacated on the 18th of December, and resumption should be extended to the 18th of January 2021.
Also citizens above the age of 60 are encouraged to stay away from crowds, while all unnecessary travels both locally and internationally are to be discouraged.
