Former Inter Milan and Chelsea manager Antonio Conte would jump at the chance of moving to Manchester United, according to Tribal Football.
That’s according to confidant and Sky Italia’s Gianluca di Marzio.
Di Marzio says that would rule out Arsenal and Spurs but could put United in the mix if they decided to part ways with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who suffered another disappointing European defeat on Tuesday night.
Asked if Conte will return to England, Di Marzio told Sky Sports: “I don’t know. I think Antonio wants to win.
“He will accept only a winning project. I don’t think Antonio will consider Arsenal because they are not strong enough to immediately win something.
“That’s why he said no to Tottenham. I think that Antonio would only consider a move to Manchester United if that opportunities arrives.
“That’s not from contacts at all from Manchester United but I know some United fans would like to see him on the bench. I think Antonio would like to, too.
“We will see if he goes back to the Premier League but it will be in a winning project.”
