Channels TV Staff Beats Up Wife, Investigation Ongoing

Channels TV has tweeted this evening via their twitter page that their company does not condone any form of domestic violence.

They said that a case that has been reported to them on domestic violence is said to be under investigation.

Channels Television does not condone violence against women or anyone in general.
The domestic violence matter reported against one of our reporters is being investigated and appropriate action will be taken.

This is coming after a woman made a video of her looks after being brutally beaten by her husband, Mr. Pius Angbo from Benue State and a reporter at Channels TV.

The wife who is also a medical doctor in Owerri area of Imo State had said that she had endured the marriage for six years, coupled with torture, strangling and serious beatings.

Showing her face covered with bruises in the video, she said she had just given birth about four weeks ago through a caesarian section and her husband had beaten her again because she told him to stop spending on other women.

Social media users have tagged the media company and this has prompted the immediate actions to investigate the case.

She says they have been married for 6years and they now have 4children together.

Last child was born 4weeks ago.
She had a surgery to give birth to the baby. She says the husband sometimes beat her during the pregnancy and also strangled her.

I understand this is Mr Pius Angbo.
I hope the rightful agencies all see this tweets and investigate this woman’s story as is appropriate.
