Edison Cavani has signed a new one-year deal at Manchester United after his first impressive season at Old Trafford.
He joined the Red Devils at the beginning of the season after leaving PSG in the summer.
Cavani has scored 15 goals in all competitions for Manchester United this season and he has ended speculations about his future by signing a new deal to keep him at Old Trafford for the next one year.
“Over the season I have developed a great affection for the club and everything that it represents,” Cavani said in a United statement.
“I’ve not yet been able to play in front of the Old Trafford crowd and that is something that I cannot wait to do.”
Cavani will hope to celebrate his new deal with a goal as Manchester United welcome Leicester City to Old Trafford on Tuesday.
