Manchester United earned a late 2-0 win over Everton to qualify for the last four of the Carabao Cup.
Edison Cavani scored a stunning goal in the 88th minutes before Anthony Martial added the second goal on the stroke of regulation time to wrap up victory for the Red Devils.
Manchester United will slug it out with Manchester City for a place in the final after the Citizens walloped Arsenal 4-1 at the Emirates Stadium.
Man Utd boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: “We had three semi-finals last year and it is a step not far enough.
“It was an excellent performance from the beginning. I thought we should have been one or two goals up at least”.
“The first 25-30 minutes we put them under pressure and created loads of chances but you always know it will be difficult against Everton and they pegged us back in the last 15 minutes of the first half”.
“We defended well and in the second half it was tight but we had a little bit of an upper hand.”

Jose Mourinho blasted Dele Alli for a costly mistake that allowed Stoke City to score their only goal.
“Yes, for me a player that plays in that position is a player that has to link and create and not to create problems for his own team,” said Mourinho.
“In that situation, an objective counter-attack would probably end with a goal, and it ended with a counter-attack behind our defenders. So yes, I am upset.”
