President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Abdulrasheed Bawa, a 40-year-old as the new EFCC chairman.
This has been revealed in a letter sent to the President to the Senate to confirm the new chairman.
According to reports, Bawa has a vast experience in the investigation and prosecution of Advance Fee Fraud cases, official corruption, bank fraud, money laundering and other economic crime.
He has undergone several specialized training in different parts of the world. He was part of the pioneer EFCC cadet office in 2005, holds a degree in Economics and a Master degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy.
The confirmation of this appointment is coming after the former EFCC Chairman Ibrahim Magu, was arrested and arraigned for money laundering.
