Super Falcons star, Rasheedat Ajibade has joined the legion of Nigerian players in the Spanish Iberdrola by teeming up with Atletico Madrid Femenino from Norwegian club, Avaldsnes.
Ajibade’s contract with Avaldsnes ran out in December after joining the club in December 2018 from NWFL side, FC Robo.
The 21-year-old played a pivotal role for Avaldsnes last season scoring eight goals in 18 games.
Ajibade described the move to Atletico Madrid as a privilege.
“It is a great privilege and an opportunity to be here,” Ajibade told the club website.
“I am a versatile, energetic and hard-working player. I tell the Atléticos that I’m going to do my best so that they and the team can feel proud.”
Ajibade is expected to make her debut for her new club against Rayo Vallecano on January 6.
